The President, HE Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has declared that 2020 is a year of victory for the government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He believes that with what the NPP government is doing, Ghanaians will entrust power into their hands for Akufo-Addo to do more.
"We have done enough to win 2020," he said.
Speaking at the party’s Annual delegates conference at the Trade Fair centre in Accra, he said he has personally visited all the 16 regions across the country and there is a clarion call for his return to continue with the good work he is doing for the people of Ghana.
"There is a certain a man in some party who wants to return to power, but what is his campaign message. What record does he have to show? I can tell you confidently that he has no programme for 2020."
"Former President Mahama is coming back to deceive Ghanaians and that Ghanaians should be aware of his numerous promises and fail policies," he added.
Touching on the party’s impending primaries which will be coming off in April, he asked for the primaries to be conducted in an extremely peaceful, sensible and serene manner.
"We should all remember that the party is bigger than our individual differences."
"As a party in government, Ghanaians are looking up to us to make a difference, so we should not disappoint them," he stated.
"The NPP is over 70 years old and so we should not take the peace within the party for granted. Let us stand together for victory 2020."
Delegates and functionaries of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) converged at the Trade Fair centre at La in Accra, for their annual delegates Conference.
This year’s Conference and Rally was held on the theme: ‘We have performed better – 4 more to do more’.

you are dreaming mr. president we will vote you out...tired of your lies
Don Biko, we have already decided. The battle is still, the Lords'.
Nana I believe in your policies and the vision you have for this nation. You have brought a higher level of leadership that anyone wanting to run for the presidency should be guided by and be measured by and that is: 1. Clear and unambiguous Vision. 2. Patriotism 3. Corrupt free altitude. 4. Self and National believe of can do. 5. Practical implementation of policies. 6. Mindful of the future wellbeing of citizens. 7. Love for country . Ghana first. etc. We have seen the beginning of something greater to lift us from where we were during clueless Mahama era. But be mindful not to take anything for granted. Remember what happened to you in 2008, when you all thought that base on the good works of Kuffour, you will have an easy passage and in the end we all know what happened. After which we went under worst regime in my estimation. Be guided by that and don't praise yourself too much until we have a total economic transformation and make it difficult for any body to be corrupt public service while our per capital income grows.
@kay instead of insulting the President, why won't you say the same thing for your party? @Don Biko even murderers are allowed to plead their case in the law court. It is a form of self assessment. How do you turn self assessment to mean referee and player? Is it not the same self evaluation that President Mahama is using to prosecute his campaign? If you see this economy to be rigid with liquidity crunch, then I will help you with prayers to remain as such till the day NDC comes back to power.
YOU WANT 4MORE YEARS TO COLLAPSE GHANAIAN BUSINESSES
But who is saying the NPP has not won the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections? This affirmative assertion is known even beyond the borders of the country.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul
How can you be a player and referee in same contest? Let the people of Ghana decide that and you will see your smoothness level. Go ahead and tickle your over bloated ego. The worst mistake Ghanaians did was to vote you into office. You only came to enrich only you and your relatives whilst the majority of Ghanaians suffer in a very rigid economy where liquidity has dried up. Meanwhile if you say the truth spineless sycophants jump at you to insult you out of ignorance or because they are beneficiaries of what is going on!
