The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr John Dramani Mahama, has denied speculations that he is set to announce Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate.
News circulated on social media on Monday, 23 December 2019 that Mr Mahama was set to announce the former Education Minister as his running mate for the 2020 polls at 5 p.m.
But Mr Mahama, in a Facebook, post said: "The selection of a running mate is done by the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in consultation with the Council of Elders and the National Executive Committee of the Party", adding: "There has been no meeting of either of the two bodies called for this purpose".
"How would any person believe that I am going to announce a running mate at 5 p.m. today?"

BUT IT IS TRUE SINCE HE HAS NOBODY IN MIND. NONE OF THE PEOPLE MENTIONED EARLIER SHOWED INTEREST.
Childish statement. Does everyone know NDC's processes of electing a running mate? Simply say that what was put out is not true, period. But to ask why will anyone believe that... as if every person on this earth knows that NDC has to meet and decide, and that meeting has not taken place yet. Why do you keep exposing your incompetence like this?
