About thousand ‘senior citizens’ of Bantama are said to have indicated their preference for incumbent Parliamentarian, Daniel Okyem Aboagye, to run opposed for the NPP during the upcoming primaries.
The group after assessing the performance of the Bantama MP after his three years in office says they will prefer he is not contested when the NPP opens nominations for the primaries in the constituency.
They are all campaigning to let Daniel Okyem Aboagye represent the constituency in parliament for another four years.
They explained that, the constituency through the initiative of the hardworking MP is “fast developing” and commended him for using his share of the MP’s Common Fund to promote reforms in the areas of education and health.
The group declared their support at a gathering with the MP who donated some items worth thousands of cedis to the aged - and as well organizing fun games for the youth in his constituency during the Christmas festivity

Let the delegates decide as in the NPP constitution. The 'Senior Citizens' must rather lobby the delegates to vote for him if they think he's performing. He contested Kokofu fiercely so he must be prepared to do same in case anybody is interested
