NPP Deputy Communications Director, Mame Yaa Aboagye has called former President John Dramani Mahama a “hypocrite”.
The former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama says he will abolish the entitlement system for political office holders when giving a second nod into government.
“One of the immediate measures we will take is to put an immediate and permanent end to the purchase of duty post vehicles by political appointees…Government vehicles will remain government vehicles”, Mr. Mahama stated.
Mame Yaa Aboagye has lambasted the former President for his double standards over the sale of State vehicles to government appointees.
She questioned the integrity of Mr. Mahama to speak on such issues after tossing over 70% of Ghana’s bauxite deposit to his brother, Ibrahim Mahama.
“If the people you are preventing from buying State vehicle can steal money from government, why can’t they buy their own cars? If they won’t buy cars, then what about Ghana’s bauxite...instead of you to bring measures as to how to curb corruption and it’s canker. you are here saying you will stop appointees from buying State vehicles. You are here making so many promises, my question is what happened whiles you were in power; why didn’t you do all these things?” she quizzed.

But Mahama was part of Late Atta Mills tenure of 8 years. Why didn't he implement these measures. His Appointees also bought state vehicles, a lot of them
John Manama is a confuse desperate man or should I say a conman. Mahama should first asked his appointees who took gov't cars alway to return back to the state first before he can go ahead to make such promises.
John Mahama has a track record than Akufo Addo. Who store the 400 tricycles ???
How difficult was it to say no to giving our bauxite reserves to your brother for free, after losing election. That is corruption to the highest order.
If you can address all problems when in power why is your NPP seeking second term.
