The Chairman of the opposition NDC’s COVID-19 Response Team has said from the look of things, the number of confirmed cases will spike quickly.
Ghana has, so far, confirmed fifty-three cases of which two patients have died.
Mr Prosper Bani told journalists at a press conference in Accra on Tuesday: “First of all, the government’s technical committee must be elevated into a crisis management team to reflect that it is no longer an ordinary technical committee but that it is a committee made up of all sectors of the economy, to address the crisis that confronts us today.”
“Today, we have the number 52 [the number increased by one later in the day]. From all my assessment and the conversation with the NDC technical team, there is an expectation that his number will rise, and it will rise very very fast”, he projected.
“So”, he said: “Be prepared for the rough ride”.
“I can also tell you that this condition will worsen before it gets better if we put our acts together.
“It is doable if we work as a team; if we work collectively and as one nation with one objective leading to the same solution,” he added.

These guys are big disappointment to our country Ghana. Too too desperate for power. Lord have mercy
I am against how the counting is done for the infected persons. They should rather be counting any Ghanaian or foreigner who live in Ghana and has been infected, not the importers. My worry is that, assuming 1 million Americans land in Accra with the virus, how can you say Ghana has 1 million infected cases, especially when they will certainly be sent back. Even if the infected person is a Ghanaian, it shouldn't be counted as such. It should be counted as a foreign one. Count only the infected persons living here in Ghana. That way of counting is putting fear and panic in most Ghanaians
I guess the NDC had thier 3 days prayers to curb covid 19. Yet they don't believe in their prayers.... It will go high... Yes we know but our God will intervene. The battle is still the Lord's. Amen
so whiles the whole country and fasting and praying and calling on God for his intervention, the NDC so called rapid response team held a press conference to tell us? what is rapid about this ? can we have some peace in this country in these times to think and focus on how we are going to survive without this outmoded opposition throwing in fear and panic into an already difficult situation? is this what the rapid response team which came one whole month late have to say?
Concert party by the NDC.... This is no new information for us. So called experts. Tweaaaaaaaaa.
THIS IS NO NEWS. COVID 19 EVERYWHERE GETS WORST BEFORE IT BECOMES BETTER. THE TREND IN GHANA WOULD NOT BE TOO DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PLACES. IT IS A MATTER OF TIME. NDC IS ONLY SEEKING ATTENTION BY DOING CHEAPPP POLITICS. IT IS PARTY FULL OF TEAM "Bs". THEY ARE ZOMBIEEE. IF THE GROUP IS NOT ZOOMBIEEE THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ALLOWED THEMSELVES TO BE RIDICULED IN THE EYES OF THE SOCIETY. THEY ALWAYS SHOW THEIR MENTAL WEAKLING WHETHER IN GOVERNMENT OR OUT OF GOVERNMENT.
Am getting disappointed if press conference is your strategy to combat the menace the I will advice NDC management team to excuse the government to work
Not sure why NDC is having difficulty accepting the fact that they were thrown out of government because they were simply ***barred word***. They still want to be calling the shots, as if they are more knowledgeable than everyone else and their ideas should be implemented. Meanwhile, you were given the responsibility and you messed up and got thrown out. So why not give Ghanaians a break!
Teletubies, did you formed a response team to give new and alternative solution or to tell us something we know and envisage.Busybodies get some place put your needless body on.
Is it that we are happy the numbers go up? nsemfo
