Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Lawyer Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe has hitback at the Akufo-Addo government for accusing the NDC Presidential Candidate of taking advantage of the Coronavirus situation to distribute freebies to only persons in the party’s stronghold.
The Private Legal Practitioner slammed government for seeking to impugn the motives of the former President in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown period saying their agitation clearly buttresses the point that they are a confused bunch of people.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe, pointed out that it does not lie in the bosom of the current administration to pontificate how the Mahama team distributes items to the vulnerable in society, more especially when government has soiled its reputation by using public purse to embark on the distribution of food and products to the less privileged on blatant partisan lines.
“Every Ghanaian can see that the governance has overwhelmed them. I am certain that confusion has set in, otherwise, how can they say that former President Mahama distributed his items on political lines to favour only NDC members during the lockdown period”, he chided.
“First of all, you withdrew $200 million from the Stabilization Fund...went in for a loan in the name of the country and not Nana Addo’s from the IMF and the World Bank....with the aim to fight the COVID-19 pandemic”.
“....later, it came up that without an NPP card, you cannot benefit from the hot meals which government expended some GHc40 million on for the over 400,000 Ghanaians. When Hon. Zanetor Rawlings brought up this issue, the whole NPP government descended her.
“As we speak now, private sector initiative is giving donations to the government, but have you heard any private sector giving donation to former President Mahama to distribute to the needy? But you (government) keeps the taxpayer's purse, yet you shamefully embark on distribution spree along partisan lines,” he fumed.
The Special Aide to the former president reiterated that Mr Mahama's donation was his widow's mite to alleviate the suffering of Ghanaians and dismissed claims that the freebies distributed was done in the strongholds of the opposition party.
“Former President Mahama in his own free will decided to add his widow’s mite in the fight against COVID-19....He distributed his foodstuffs randomly. In any case, who says NPP members are not resident in the areas Mahama made the donations. Or are we to belive that only NDC members reside in Ada?...I don’t even understand the basis for such claims," Lawyer Edudzi Tamakloe stressed.

You are calling the huge Airbus bribe money widows mite.... If you don't know I will tell you ***barred word*** is the richest person in NDC....
See this ***barred word*** too..... nokofio man.. small chop chop so some people can sell their conscious.
Sure, he was more organized. He showed the others how to do it, to reach those who really need it and not expose them to transmissions. His plan for reaching the households was superb. His team sent word around so everybody knew aid was coming, they were warned that anybody who left his or her household was disqualified, then on the d-day, they delivered the widows mote right at their door step. This is certainly not for votes. Eye odor nkwaah
Why worried about Mahama's donations? Whatever, Mahama donate is from create, loot and share. We will chop his money and donations proper proper. The bottom line is that Mahama will never be a President again. Ghanaians are wise. He had a chance and he chose to be a ***barred word*** and that is it.
Someone should tell this young man to see a Dentist. If you see his teeth you wont will lose appetite for even water.
Who told you mahama will win election 2020? If distribution of food wins election then free water and electricity will take the lead. Dont forget Mr Mahama has been a president before when Ebola outbreak broke , what did he do then. As he Mahama put it Ghanaian;s have short memories. NDC and their leader should understand that Ghanaina's are not ***barred word*** to exchange free senior education to food sharing as a bait to voting. Since the introduction of FSHS , i have save an amount of GHC 16,563 for two of kids currently in school so what at all can NDC and their propagandist can convince to vote for them which their agenda is to collapse the policy .NDC did same with 4years and 3 years educational duration so NDC should forget my vote i voted for NDC in 2016 but this time big NO. Another interesting thing is that Mr. Mahama only coming for 4years he has told the whole country that no Government can develop Ghana with only 4 years mandate so why disturbing our ears with his noise of coming back
Is it vote buying or humanitarian gesture. Why do you always want be political in your actions. Know that the outcome of the 2020 election will be determined by God and not the food being shared by JDM.
THE BATTLE IS STILL THE LORD'S. Candidate Mahama did it for Ghanaians and everybody is doing it, so it is not news.
indded very true and they are very worried because they know that they have lost 2020 elections so far.
