Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of the Atta Mills Institute, Mr Koku Anyidoho has indicated his readiness to serve the nation in any capacity should President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appoint him.
According to him, so long as the appointment is not a ministerial one, he will accept any space to champion the cause of advocacy and talent modelling as the Atta Mills Institute has started doing in the country.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, the former Deputy General Secretary of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in showing appreciation to President Akufo-Addo for building a befitting resting place for the late President Atta Mills said any appointment which will build the nation is welcomed by him.
“In the interest of Ghana, I will accept an appointment devoid of politics from the President. That is what I am already doing at the Atta Mills Institute, Civic Education and public policy advocacy”.
“I am not looking for a ministerial appointment; that is not what I am interested in, but I am just interested in the space to function. There must be some space to function. God has blessed me as a young man," the former Spokesperson of the late President Atta Mills said.
He reiterated the need for the country to model people around certain values and character in the country through institutes like the Atta Mills Institute, Kuffour Foundation and possibly one from President Rawlings, as the country will not go anywhere should things be taken for granted.
“We should be able to model people around certain values and character in the country through institutes like the Atta Mills Institute, Kuffour Foundation and I am hoping that President Rawlings will have his very soon”.
“We should not leave everything by chance, otherwise, we will not go anywhere. Let’s identify talents and mould them because that is the only way we can build this country. We must deliberately nurture talents in a conscious way and that is what Atta Mills Institute sought to do,” he stated.
Outlining some of the things the Atta Mills Institute has done so far, Koku Anyidoho said that the institute as part of its activities had a forum at Allianz Francaise with Prof Kwesi Aning, Lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning and Madam Josephine Nkrumah about building resilience and creating a culture of politics and character in values.

From now on to December this is how Martin Amidu and Koku who have collected huge sums of money from nana addo will continue to do to sow seed of division among the NDC. But the NDC shouldn't pay attention to them. Discerning Ghanaians are aware of who they really are. They want to distract the NDC, but we shouldn't lose focus at all. What they are saying is the same things that abronye and wontumi are saying, so if you address wontumi and abronye it the same as addressing martin and koku. Five months into elections, you cannot allow a childish and immature persons like these to through your agenda out of gear. Very soon someone from the zongoes will get them.
I am very very happy NDC has found it not necessary to respond to the tantrums and invectives coming from Koku Anyidoho in recent times. As I indicated some time ago, Koku is now shifting from "Then unknown NDC Darkness" to "Now realized NPP Lightness". The strategy is he aligning himself with all perceived opponents of NDC:- 1. Asempa fm. 2. Papa Jay as we see him now. 3. Nana Addo and the NPP. I will therefore entreat all NDC communicators not to follow his provocations alongside Allotey Jacobs, Dela Cofie and the rest but rather continue to propagate the achievements of John Mahama.
Eiii, Mr comfortable lead! How far now? Shebi you dey hung? You no see anything yet, traitor!
MAY I KNOW IF NOW A SHORT MAN AND HIS PARTY CAN RULE GHANA BEYOUND HUMAN EXPECTATION?THIS is THE TIME VOLTARIANS SHOULD LEARN LESSONS FROM NDC PARTY AND JDM.BEFORE YOU WILL BE ACCEPTED AND ORDAINED AS A NPP PARTY MEMBER,you need to ADVICE THE VOLARIANS FIRST.united we stand.
I know what Koku is looking for..........he wants the government to fund activities of these former presidents' foundations and institutes. Paying staff salaries, a budget to run day-to-day activities of the institute etc. But is that economically feasible? So if Ghana ends up with 20 past presidents and all have foundations and institutes established in their name, does the taxpayer need to foot these bills? It looks like people in politics enjoy the freebies that come from it when in government role and politics and wished they continue living off on taxpayers' money forever!
What I like about Koku is that he is very passionate about what President Mills sought to do. He is moving beyond politics and he loves his country. Although he made some mistakes but he has learnt and that speaks volume about his character and maturity.
