The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appears to be fully apprised of the resignation from office of the Special prosecutor, Mr. Martin Amidu; which the latter communicated publicly in a letter dated Monday, 16th November 2020.
A statement signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin on Tuesday afternoon indicated that; “President Akufo Addo has taken due note of the other matters raised by the Special Prosecutor in his letter of resignation.”
Whiles thanking the anti-corruption crusader "for his services to the country" and wishing him "well in his future endeavors", Mr. Arhin, however, revealed the Presidency will issue "a detailed response" to "address other matters raised by the Special Prosecutor in his letter of resignation."
