A Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has asked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to find a new face to lead the party.
Speaking in an interview on Neat FM's 'Me Man Nti' programme, Dr Amakye Boateng was of the view that John Mahama's time is passed.
"I don't think the NDC needs (former) President Mahama again . . . the party needs a new image, the party should reinvent itself," he said.
He further suggested that NDC should "clear its entire leadership and bring in new faces . . . the party should renew itself".

Don't mind that so- called Dr. He's paid to say the kind of things he's saying. Even in opposition the former president has given Nana a good run for his money and but for the incompetence of Jean Mensah, Nana would have laughed at the wrong side of his mouth. You want us to change a leadership that has delivered 50 percent of parliamentary seats and even produced a speaker of parliament on the position side? The NPP is already afraid of going to opposition in 2024.
Let the electoral college of the NDC decide and not you
Bad advice, who changes a winning team? JM won the last 2 elections. The problem is from the party's election monitoring machinery and the ***barred word*** of the NPP, and not the flag bearer. Organize a free and fair elections today, Nana cannot get beyond 30%.
Peace fm, may I know the rational behind bringing Dr. Amakye always on your platform. Those of us who are former students of KNUST know who this personality is and his affiliation. Even in his own department he is at logger heads with another Dr. We know a lot about their conducst. Is it the chew and poor kind of knowledge that they are imparting or what? Better options of fair minded Drs are in the other Universities who are willing to educate us not people of this caliber. In any case does he control the mind of the voters in Ghana? Consult people with scientific facts not tribal minded.
