The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo has rescinded her decision after sacking the National Coordinator of the School Feeding Programme, Mrs Gertrude Quashigah.
She said it was an administrative error.
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, a letter from the aforementioned Ministry signed by its Minister and addressed to Mrs Gertrude Quashigah noted that her appointment has been terminated.
“This is to inform you of the termination of your appointment as the National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme. You will be paid one month’s salary in lieu of notice as stipulated in your contract agreement”, the letter stated.
Three days later, the Minister has backtracked on her decision with a new letter signed by Hon. Adwoa Safo explaining that there was some administrative error leading to the first decision.
“I write in respect to the above subject matter [withdraw] of termination of appointment].
“This is to inform you of my decision to withdraw my earlier letter dated 18th May 2021.
“I wish to state that my earlier letter was as a result of administrative error,” the letter from the Gender Ministry dated May 21, has said.

Clearly you sacked her but a powerful hand reversed your decision. Always confer with your authority before making such a sweeping decision. I am really disappointed in Adjoa Sarfo.
No wonder she is a Minister, a failure. 200metres from the frontage of her Atomic house is a big pothole from a tarred road she contracted in less than 1 year. She has not seen the need to get the contractor fix it. All joints to major tarred roads in Dome Kwabenya (Aboom junction, Musuku bridge, GE New market) have developed potholes in less than a year. Who has to fix them if our haughty MP doesn't care? No wonder she has promised not to seek another MPship tour in 2024. Anka wobɛwe pɔtɔɔ.
Are we a serious country a whole minister signing a letter and coming out to say that it was an administrative error. Someone's future. Don't they read a letter before they sign. It is very sad. Please and please Mr. President some of your appointed ministers leaves much to be desired abayeee oooh
Eii, what's going on?
And this is a minister in Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana. Soo sad
