Head of Linguistics at the University of Ghana, Professor Kofi Agyekum, popularly called 'Opanyin Agyekum' has described as 'cowards' people who hide behind anonymity and nicknames to denigrate others, especially on social media.
"Such people are cowards, empty and you don't have to give them any attention otherwise you become like them . . . " he told Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo'.
He said instead of making vile comments, "they should find out if what they're saying conforms to the values and norms of the culture and the society? But if they don't care then it means they're not valuable to society; it's the highest degree of impoliteness. When that happens, you'll not be accepted into the society and the culture had it been the olden days".

Masa where you are going is slippery. Are you not aware that in this dangerous world we live in anonymity is an important channel for whistle blowers. You want people to reveal their identity so they will be killed like Suale. Please focus on writing well researched papers and books and stop seeking cheap popularity through radio talk show. Leave a legacy by pushing for Ghanaian languages to be used as official languages like in South Africa and stop speaking in those 2x4 proverbs on talk shows. Yabr3 Wo.
