Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka Napo has really surprised me and most Ghanaians about how he has been an effective and efficient minister both at the education and now at the energy. A surgeon trained medical practitioner he has performed extremely well as an administrator. He could have joined the alleged fishy deal and get his share but he insisted and emphasised a big no to the deal. More grease to the elbow of Napo and this can enhance his chances to be the vice presidential candidate for Bawumia.
I think the good people of Ghana should commend the minister for energy Mathew Opoku Prempeh for alerting the president about this " not fit for purpose " who wants to short change Ghana because of reasons best known to him. For once the president should act swiftly by asking the board chairman to go home. He has been a CPP MP in parliament in this fourth republic. He was lucky to cross carpet , leapfrog to become national chairman of the NPP . At his age what at all does he want in life again? What is it Ghana politics has such that 80-90 year olds still love it? If it were about service what strength do these ' oluman' have such that he says he won't resign until the president sacks him. As for this one the appointing authority should act because the sector minster finds everything wrong with this ' azaaaa' sale.
Sir at your age you still that power drunk and corrupt. The impudence of a character. They have told you several times that the deal you want to sign with petroSA does not make sense and yet you claim you are acting in the best interest of Ghana. Are you indeed working in the best interest of the country or the best interest of your corrupt self and stomach. All these old men are the problem. They are refusing to grow honourably and live by example. No wonder the younger ones after them have become so corrupt as well. Now I understand why the soldiers get up and overthrow these unwise old men calling themselves leaders.
