NPP National Nasara Coordinator, Aziz Haruna Futa has said Dr Bawumia is the best choice for the 2024 national elections.
To him, war situations calls for soldiers to lead, and in an economic crises like what is confronting Ghana, an astute economist like Dr Buwumia is an ideal candidate for the task.
He said on GHOne " ...see, the elephant is going to prevail. We are in an economic war, it is world wide, and we don't need teachers, neither communicators to save the situation.
"When there is war, you need soldiers with AK 47 to deal with the situation, when there is economic crisis, you need an economist, and in Dr Bawumia lies those qualities."
He added that, "He has demonstrated that when it comes to economic digitalization, he is second to none."
The NPP national Nasara Coordinator believes the NPP flagbearer has what it takes to restore Ghana's economic dwindling fortunes.

@ Nana Barima, I don't know of what you mean by "massive progress". Do you know that given the revenues and grants that this government has received, we are supposed to be seeing at least 10 times of what they have done? It really saddens me when I see them doing projects that would certainly not last or be relevant by the next 10 years. How could you liken such people to be generational leaders? Their interest is in doing something to show that they doing something and not building a solid nation that will be able to stand the test of time at all fronts. Look at how get richer quickly, bribery and corruption mindset have taken over our country, are you pleased with it? I don't know what technocrat Bawumia is, even if he were, how has Ghana benefited from that, as a much touted economist, our economic downfall under him has been remarkably worse than under anyone in our history. Again, nobody should be assigning our economic failures to COVID or Ukraine war, those who were hit directly navigated through without major economic downturns and never attributed anything to those. Having failed at the economy, Bawumia looked for a niche area such as the digital space and trying to make another vague name there but it won't wash this time. Mahama may not be ideal, but Bawumia is not even an option.
@Concerned citizen. Lets me honest concerned citizens. How did the Ghanaian economy get messed up in a global world economy?. Even in the “mess up “ we’ve seen massive progress in terms , infrastructure, education, the financial sector. For the first time in the Ghanaian Banking sector in an economic crisis we did not see Ponzi schemes banks. just to mention a few. Would you prefer a leader who would rather legalize Okada instead of educating its citizens ? . I’d rather prefer a technocrat who understand the next economic revolution than to someone who is a communicator, or a history teacher and would never prefer to running mate who is smarter than himself.
Well feel free to make him the leader of your home. Leadership of our nation requires more than just words; it demand solid integrity and credibility, proven experience and understanding of our problems and the commitment to solving them once and for all. As Ghanaians, we must prioritise competence over rhetoric, ensuring our country is guided by someone who is not merely a talker, but a skilled and selfless doer capable of steering us away from the pitfalls of trial and error. Our collective journey towards progress and stability cannot afford to be sidetracked by individuals lacking the necessary integrity and commitment or people who have their own interests or that of their family and friends at heart than the nation's. Has Bawumia not been involved in this all time most messed up economy? And how did he amass so much wealth to be able to bribe delegates to victory?
