Actor and politician, John Dumelo is calling on Ghanaian to patronise locally made clothes more than we do now.
According to the aspiring Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wongon, this would create jobs, boost local production and in effect bring economic growth.
In a post on Twitter, John called for Monday to be added to Friday as a day for wearing locally made attire.
State institutions in Ghana and most private companies have set aside Friday to promote locally made clothes referred to as “Friday Wear”. This John Dumelo believes is not enough to make an impact, hence his plea for an additional day.

“To be honest, the Friday wear is not enough. We should add Monday to it. So twice a week we all should wear made in Ghana clothes. This will instantly boost local production (create jobs) and position Ghana as a fashion and textile hub in the sub region”.

@ Cmaa: And who said African wear doesn't make one look smart...
For once this is the best suggestion made so far. @Cmaa,the bottom line is all about increasing the number of days used for african wear. By the way what makes you think one can not be trendy and smart in an african wear. You better get good designer for yourself and you will understand.
Why Monday, Mondays you need to look smart. Wednesday will do. you are not yet in parliament and you are suggesting this kind of law, please give us a break.
