Gospel musician, Rose Agyei after stating on authority that gospel musicians are not united has had a colleague gospel songstress, Patience Nyarko to confirm to Flex newspaper what she (Rose Adjei) said.
Interestingly, some of the gospel fans or followers having heard what Rose Adjei had uttered have disagreed with her in one way or the other. But surprisingly, another person who is not just a gospel lover but an industry person, and a gospel musician, thinks there is no way gospel musicians will ever unite. She made this statement recounting her presence in the gospel industry and the experiences she has accumulated over the years with her gospel peers.
Patience Nyarko confirmed to Flex Newspaper that there is always some sort of competition among gospel musicians when they release songs or albums. Gospel musicians who are supposedly noted for preaching Christ to the masses through their songs possess different attitudes all together when they feel another singer does better than them.
According to her, they are all doing what they can to survive in the industry, knowing very well what is happening in the industry. She further stressed that this problem has existed for years now and that it will be very difficult for them to come together or unite as it should be.
She believes every musician is unique in his/her own way and has different traits as a person hence her delivery. She made the point that, if that isn’t understood by all gospel musicians, then there would always be tension amongst them especially when they release songs or albums.
The ‘wafomnkwa’ hit maker believes all this will stop when one doesn’t envy the other person and when they learn to appreciate talents.

This jealousy thing amongst them isn't an issu that just sprung up. It's been there from time immemorial but has only gotten worst now with the current crop. It's insanely pathetic. When u ask must of them, they will pretend everything is fine with them. Absolute ***barred word***!! The hypocrisy is very real. They badmouth each other. Some can't stand others success and the ones who think they've arrived too have a way they look down on the struggling and upcoming ones and the older ones who they think aren't relevant anymore. So so saboteurs! Things like, I have a much better voice and more anointing than the other is the order of the day. The competition among them is worse than their secular counterparts. See how they fight amongst themselves during award seasons even this same patience nyarko have fought Nicholas omane over him not being a deserving winner over her. Didn't Gifty osei come on radio to lambast Hetty bongreat sometime ago? Trying to out sing, over dress than the other are just an everyday occurrence amongst them. They don't wish each other well. Then comes the witches and wizards who have joined in. Some go for juju to enhance their success. And there are some who go for juju to destroy the ones they deem their stiffest competition. How can they be when the pastor s who are supposed to know better are themselves doing the same things. Who is going to correct them? A lot is going on that u don't want to know. May the Lord have mercy on all of us!!
You have spoken the truth but they will soon insult you. Most of the so called Gospel Artist are only in for fame and money. All that they are looking for is someone going down and they rising. I was shocked to hear Kwaku Bonsam's confession about Ghana Gospel Artist coming to see him for hit songs. Fire of Jehovah burns you all hypocrites. No wonder you pay Bribes for Music Awards.
