Actor EKow Smith-Asante is all for celebrities being paid by media houses whenever they go for interviews.
In his opinion, celebrities appear on media platforms to enrich the entity’s content and, therefore, should be remunerated for the appearance.
The popular actor stressed that media houses charge celebrities whenever they need to promote a movie or product but expect interviews to be done for free.
Mr Smith-Asante said unless there is a barter agreement, media houses should pay for such interviews.
“The moment you invite a celebrity to your station, you should (pay them),” he told Lexis Bill on Behind The Fame on Drive Time on Joy FM Monday.

Yes i do agree with the writer that celebrities must be paid when they are invited by media houses for interview. They make stations popular whiles they the celebrities are already popular. Comment that interviews make celebrities popular is wrong. People who are not popular are not call for interview. All who are invited for interviews are already popular hence their invitation.
Look at this STIFF/ARTIFICIAL ACTOR you are given the opportunity to talk about yourself, career and family to promote your own self too you want to be paid?? Isn't it the same media which makes you people popular? Do we even have celebrities in Ghana? Are you a celebrity?? Mctheeeeeeeeeewwww!!! Then when you have up and coming events to promote too you pay the Presenter to interview you.. Siaseem!! When was the last time you acted? I have even forgotten you exist!!
it works both ways Mr Smith, when a station interview you they make you even more popular. So chill massa. There are lots more "celebrities" who wish to get a phone call for an interview
celebrities do we have any in Ghana
