The Ruftown records signed musician, Wendy Shay has rendered an unqualified apology to Former President John Agyekum Kufuor and the Board and Management of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) for posting a picture of herself and the former president on social media.
The “Uber driver” singer paid a courtesy call on the former president at his residence and later took to her Instagram page to post the photo of her and the former president and captioned the post with excitement writing: “Finally met H.E. Ex president Kuffour” #wendyshaytotheworld #rufftown #ShayGang
The post instantly picked up on social media with a lot of people asking questions.
But Uber driver again took to her instagram handle and urged Ghanaians to forgive her for the negative impression caused. “I would wish to apologize to the general public as well with most of the comments being directed to my outfit,” she said.

On the 4th of July, 2019,I posted an image of myself and His Excellency Former President John Agyekum Kufour on my social media timeline. This was after I visited him with my fellow Youth Employment Agency Ambassadors officially.
The image I posted went viral on social media for the wrong reasons and I will wish to render an unqualified apology to His Excellency and the board and Management of the Youth Employment Agency. I had no intention of bringing his good image into any public disrepute.
I would wish to apologize to the general public as well with most of the comments being directed to my outfit.
I am a young lady and I am still learning. To err is human, to forgive is divine.
I promise to do better next time. Once again, I am sorry.

You guys should give me a break! Was there no one around when she went to sit beside JAK and took pictures? No one saw her and disapproved? And JAK accepted to her doing just that without even a little word of caution, knowing full well the next think she would do would be to post the photo on the internet for everyone to see. Why is anyone blaming this girl? She is Ghanaian, and a lady, fullstop! I would rather steal a photo with the former president, post it and apologize later; that's the smartest thing to do. Le chien aboie, la caravane, passe!
Ambassador my foooot. Is she still at post? No wonder Ghana is at a standstill. Such persons selected as Ambassadors. Very cheap. No sen-se of responsibility. She should resign quickly to save face. As for those who put her there as an ambassador, kerosene is even worth more than their thinking. Backward Ghana forever.
I cannot speak for Prez Kuffour or the for the Management of YEA but in my estimation, Wendy Shay has done the most honourable thing befitting of a young adult learning the rudiments of life. Well done Wendy but next time seek advice before going public on such issues. Stay blessed.
