Former Deputy Minister of Information, James Agyenim-Boateng has asked GHOne TV presenter Serwaa Amihere to learn to deepen her intelligence in her field of practice after she posed a question to the opposition National Democratic Congress relating to their delay in presenting their campaign policies.
Serwaa Amihere in a tweet questioned why the NDC, barely a year to election 2020, has not provided Ghanaians a tip of one of their main campaign policies.
Her tweet read, “With almost one year to the 2020 elections, we are yet to hear of one major policy proposal from the NDC. Why this long delay.”
But the former Deputy Minister of Information in the erstwhile Mahama administration who didn’t seem too pleased with the presenter’s comments retorted with an attempt to school the presenter on the processes involved in compiling a party manifesto, for an electioneering campaign.
Mr Agyenim-Boateng wrote, “As a TV presenter, you’ve got to have an appreciation of issues. Should that “One major policy proposal” precede a manifesto committee, campaign team, manifesto launch, etc? Hone your craft Serwaa Amihere.”
Agyenim-Boateng was not the only member of the opposition party who took offence for the media personality’s question. Dzifa Gunu also infuriated by the question replied her saying, “You are a very lazy and uninformed journalist, you thrive on noise to be relevant”.
She further added “did you hear @JDMahama talk about scrapping the double-track completely? Didn’t you hear him say he will abolish the luxury tax before the NPP rushed to abolish it? Do your research?”

Fake body shape paa. Not me. I cannot be deceived. I know the shape God gives. This is either fake or photoshop.
Herrrrrrr! This lady's profile knocks me off my feet! Ahuofe dua.
NDC feels the ruling government will punch holes in their manifesto if they bring it out early and that will render their policies irrelevant. But you can’t foool all the people all the time.
If the NDC is really a serious political party that aspires to form the next Government, they should rather take the advice of the able journalist, Obaapa Serwaa in good faith, produce policy framework and campaign on that to convince the Ghanaian electorates. Creating lies and baseless sensationalism against their opponents, NPP will not win them the 2020-elections. A word to the wise is enough and that is all that Ante Serwaa seeks to make it clearer to the NDC. And she doesn't by all measure deserves an insult for that.
Ah uncle Agyenim-Boateng, do not show your incompetence here. The laddie just asked a question that the whole Ghanaians you want their vote would want to ask before voting for your so called party so why don't you answer the questing instead of insulting the laddie? Please show your maturity as a will be leader. God bless our nation Ghana. Thanks.
I don't see the insult in this question the lady asked. NPP has failed and we need NDC's policies to enable us know if they are the credible alternative so why that insult my brother, or is your response to the question the policies the NDC has got?
SERWAA RUSHED ON THIS ONE, THERES ARE PLOICIES ALREADY
A harmless question by this lady does not warrant such attacks. Whatever processes the NDC needs to go through before outdooring their policies has delayed. That is the import of the lady's post and she is speaking for a lot of Ghanaians. It is this same babies with sharp teeth attitude that contributed to the NDC's defeat. James Agyenim and 'squad' montoaso saa na opposition will be your home for long paa.
.....one of their major policies has been this: 'insult and get a position as a reward'. This question by the beautiful lady seems harmless, but we have a whole former deputy minister responding in this manner.....hmmmmmm!!!
I think this question is legitimate. Mr. Agyenim-Boateng, what the lady is saying is that you are late in everything - Manifesto Committee, Campaign Team etc that is the essence of her question. Your sympathisers need your manifesto on time, read and think through it before deciding to vote for you. And with only one year to the election you think you have all the time in the world? Or you know you have lost already so you dont care? For me her question is harmless.
