Reggae and dancehall artiste Samini is appealing to the Ghana Education Service (GES) to deal with the headmaster of a Senior High School who had allegedly discriminated against him during his tour at the school.
According to him, the headmaster had stopped him from speaking to the students because of his dreadlocks.
Samini told Sammy Forson on the Cosmopolitan Mix, on Wednesday that he does not think an educationist who discriminates against people deserves to head a school.
“I decided to touch base with Dansoman High Schools to interact with the kids and inspire them on the importance of education. We had already written letters and they had approved along with the time we should come.”
“A very unfortunate and naive head told me that he didn’t think my appearance was good enough to inspire the kids. He told me specifically my locks,” he added
.

HEADMASTER I SUPPORT YOU 100%. THAT GUY WOULD BE A VERY BAD ROLE MODEL FOR OUR KIDS
WELL DONE HEAD MASTER ,HE DOESNT DESERVE TO SPEAK TO THE KIDS ,THE KIDS WILL THINK ITS NORMAL TO DO THIS AND OUR CULTURE WILL BE THROWN AWAY,THIS IS JAMAICAN CULTURE NOT GHANAIAN CULTURE ,I DONT KNOW HHY YOU PEOPLE ARE MAKING THIS LOOK LIKE ITS FOR US ,YOU DONT DESERVE TO SPEAK TO THEM SIMPLE.Y7OU THINK PEOPLE WILL SPEAK ON UR BEHALF APUUU
THUMPS UP MR HEADMASTER. FUU@LS LIKE THIS WEED SMOKING DUDE DONT DESERVE ANY AUDIENCE IN FRONT OF OUR KIDS
NO RIGHT IS VIOLATED. IF YOU DISAGREE GO TO COURT. YOU CANNOT WALK TO ANY SCHOOL AND BEGIN TO DO ANYTHING. THE SCHOOL STAFF AND WORKERS HAVE CONTRACT WITH THE CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS. THEY SHOULD GIVE THEM EDUCATION, BASED ON CARRICULUM PROVIDED. NOBODY CANNOT WALK TO A SCHOOL AND DO ANYTHING TO INTERFERE AND DISTRACT THEIR PROGRAM. IF SAMINI HAS NOTHING TO DO HE MUST GO AND SLEEP AND STOP GALLIVANTING.
but what has hair got to do with learning. That ***barred word*** thing they passed us through by making us cut down our hair in the name of we being able to concentrate in class. Samini may not have gotten a university degree but it does not mean he never benefitted from what he got from the secondary level. Not all are meant for the university, it's unfortunate that our educational system does not give enough room for talent development. Samini should be an encouragement. The comment that he smokes weed is rather unfortunate. Artist who drink alcohol don't face health risk I guess. Samini kudos and to Ebenezer school it's your loss.
Headmaster, ayekoo! In fact you did very well. Kudos!!!. Who are you, Batman aka Samini? Were you going totach them how to “shiii ntampe or what? You think GES has nothing better doing, than to sanction this “correct” headmaster? To say I’m angry, would be an understatement. Ns3mfoo ara kwa.
You end your education at the secondary school and claim you want to inspire the students. You smoke wee and you want to inspire students, to do what? You sing profanity and say you want to inspire students. Let Okyeame Kwame do that. At least he has University Education and not you. That is not to say Education is the only key to success. Please keep quiet. I will withdraw my child from the school if you were to address them.My ward told me he didnt want to meet or listen to you.
That is wrong to deny him the opportunity to speak to the students because of his hair. His brains are not in his hair, and for you know, he is probably even smarter than the headmaster who denied him. We don't have to judge people based on their looks. This is what is killing Ghanaians and our society. People can do so much more and contribute so much if we don't stereotype people like we do in Ghana. Shamefully sad.
You think we want idioooots like you to be speaking to high school students. We want better human beings with good morals you say musicians. Stuuupiiiiid. Clear offff
