The president of Ghana has spoken.
Now we, as individuals have to strategize and decide what to do, to stay safe and protect our families and loved ones.
The back and forth arguments will not help us, especially, the non politicians.
What we need to do now, is to ask ourselves, ‘what is next?’
Our lives are in our own hands!!!
We shall overcome!
Be wise!!
Stay safe!!! Stay Alive. And Trust in God. 🙏

You have said it all.i like your line argument.im surprise at Gifty Anti paaa. aaa you all ladies.very surprise. Madam Gifty remember Ghana is not developed and rich like USA,ITALY,SPAIN etc, so complete lockdown wont work.how many citizens including squatters have access to service providers to call for food. Aaaba, Gifty is Ghana organised like Autralia to distribute food?i mean 3 square means to all citizens through out the complete lockdown you guys are calling.please i respect you a lot.get out of these call.its not easy maddam pple are really suffering.the govern cant never cover all the population in Ghana for food sharing.it wont work in developing country like Ghana. the effective way to fight this disease is social awareness and making sure all citizens comply with the safety directives.that is effective than lockdown. is US not lockdown? has the death toll reduced?it has not, so that is not the best.pls the government alone
As for the opposition they will never find anything good coming from the NPP government.
I think lifting the ban on the lock down is okay. This is a wake up call for all of us. If you joke with your life you will lose it. Social distancing is key. Those kayayei and squatters in Accra should be helped to go to their home towns immediately.
If someone else took this decision all hell would break loose on him.
Ghanaians can talk a lot and its unfortunate that a dangerous COVID 19 have been politicised by our local politicians. Ghana is not the only country that has Lock up" some affected regions (the Greater Accra and Asanhti Region) in the country. The President has "Lock Up" some regions but most warnated gatherings still reman lock down. The president mentioned funerals, schools and churches still remain lock down, but keeping to the rule of social distance is significant for all of us. Ghana can as well learn from the globalen world who are dealing with the COVID 19. The Republic of Mali with its rebel insurgance and dealing with its COVID 19 has been able to conduct parlamentary and presidential elections but keeping to the rules of Social Distance. Germany has partially lock up some areas such as opening of shops, and the beginning of schooling classes for the examination candidates ect But in Germany, some instituitions are still lock down, no Bundesliga till the 31 August, no churches and mosques prayers, no concerts etc but at the same time, they are to keep strictly the social distance. Spain has gradually lock up some areas but some instituitions are still on lock down and strictly keeping social distance. The President of the Republic of Ghana has spoken and lock up the two regions but many institutions are still lock down in Ghana. Schools, Funerals and Sports. The globalen world has one simple rules to the COVID 19, "social distance" and "washing your hands reguarlarly" Ghanaian life is understood as social gathering and we are more socially interconected in all our activities, from namen ceremonies to funeral ceremonies. I believe the press men and women, social elites and politicians have a major role to play in this propagande of "social distance" Please help ghanaians to understand what it means,to keep, "social distance" and washing of hands will help us to surviving combating COVID 19. We shall be saving more lifes and we shall prevent the spread of the virus when we keep to the rules: "social distance and reguarlarly washing of hands" God help Ghana.
Why wont he lift the lockdown with the ungrateful beings complaining of sharing food based on party card. Now every body should go and fend for themselves. Those Agbobloshie people that the media is using for propaganda should go to their hometown. People who could not buy food will spite waakye and egg. EWat an ungrateful people we have been to the president. Now the lockdown is lifted and everyone fears for the worse.
Mr President, you have spoken and we will go with what we heard. For the first time opinions on your address are sharply divided, let us all pray we don't suffer a secondary spike. Please do not tarry in restoring the lock down if the need arises. GOOD LUCK, we look up to you for direction
Herd immunity after all the unnecessary complaints. If anyone thinks he/she is at risk then use your initiative; protect yourself and your family by staying indoors. Survival of the fittest! Saying that, I foresee a total lockdown in the immediate future...
