Outspoken actress Lydia Forson is not happy with Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The actress says she is very repulsed by the Vice President’s decision to compare the current coronavirus pandemic to the power crisis that befell the country during former President John Mahama’s administration.
Lydia Forson made the comments in the wake of a press conference organised by Dr. Bawumia to respond to former President Mahama’s criticisms of the way President Nana Akufo-Addo has managed the economy.
During the Vice President’s press conference Monday, he compared how former President Mahama managed the power crisis, popularly called Dumsor, that crippled the country in 2015.
Sharing a video of Dr. Bawumia’s press conference, the Ministry of Information said “Two major crises have befallen our country in the last decade – Dumsor and Covid-19. The management of the economy under two different leaders during these crises periods is something we should all be interested in.”
Reacting to the post, Lydia Forson chastised the government for comparing the two crises.
“I can’t believe we’re comparing DUMSOR to COVID-19, a pandemic that threatens our very human existence. I’m utterly disgusted and extremely disappointed by this comparison,” she said.
Bringing the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, into the fray, the actress added: “@konkrumah I know if you were still on air you would have grilled anyone who made this statement . smh.”

MAKE U COMMOT FOR THERE. YOO WITH LOW SELF ESTEEM,, WHO ARE YOU?
What is the meaning of crisis? Was "dumsor" a crisis? Is the pandemic a crisis? If they are, then they can be compared and that is exactly Veep did. Is better to keep mute when you don't have full understanding of issues else you make a f_o_0_l of yourself. The veep never compared the two, he compared two crisis. you don't rattle about every issue because you can speak English.
***barred word***
ME, MAF3RE PAA OO. AM STILL UNDER MY BED I CANT COME OUT. MY NDC FOLKS IN MY HOUSE WILL TEASE ME. PAPA NEXT TIME LEAVE THAT PART FOR ABRONYE DC . MANI AWU PAPA!
Let set the record straight, who initiated this argument was it Bawumia or Mahama. Mahama is not behaving as a stateman or an adult. Mahama speaks on every subjects that pop up but so silent on Airbus.
@Lydia Forson...Ur tym pass...U jxt wan the good people of Ghanaian to hear ur name...U r irrelevant in ur industry..Lydia Forson you are Educated ***barred word*** from uneducated school... Good nite and don't do politics BUT look for man to impregnate u..
AH! THIS ***barred word*** GIRL TOO, WHAT IS WRONG WITH BAWUMIA'S COMPARISONS HE MADE. OR YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. MY FRIEND CO MOT THERE. WHO ARE YOU AND WHO CARES ABOUT YOU AND WHAT YOU THINK OR HOW YOU FEEL .WE ALL HEAD WHAT HE SAID AND ALSO READ HIS STATEMENT. GO AND FIND SOLUTION TO YOUR FAILED CARRIER. YOU ARE DISGUSTING.
looks like this lady does not understand what the VP said. nice lady with small mind and a big mouth
They don’t read, so their understanding is shallow. Tell your incompetent one to keep quiet, if he has nothing positive to contribute towards COVID 19. Then the VP will stop educating him and his followers.
DR Bawumia rightly hit the nail. How can someone who couldn't even fight cholera and allowed it to kill 204 people and made us stay in Dumsor for 4 solid years all because he couldn't buy crude oil to power our plants turn all of a sudden to claim he had the best economy than Nana. You Lydia Forson your industry was badly hit by Mahama's Dumsor yet he did not provide any social intervention relief to any Ghanaian. Mahama and NDC has played politics with the fight against Covid 19 right from they one yet non of you spoke about it but when Bawumia and NPP reply him then you will see the so called celebrities like Lydia Forson and Tracy Boakye and co coming to complain. Madam if you are neutral, let it be so because sometimes most of you are too bias. Nana Addo is fighting this Covid 19 very well but Mahama wants to portray to the whole world that the Man is not doing well and he is rather doing well so Bawumia reminding him of what just happened few yaears ago in his era is VERY VERY APPROPRIATE IN THAT PERSPECTIVE . Keep your disappointment to yourself
