Burna Boy proved his mettle as the ‘African Giant’ Sunday night as he won the BET Best International Act Award.
Burna Boy beat several other international artists including British Grime heavyweight Stormzy to the award.
Ghanaian artistes were totally missing from the nominee’s list but Burna Boy at least guaranteed the award returns to Africa.
The nominated stars for the Best International Act category who lost to Burna Boy were Innoss’B (DRC), Sho Madjozi (S. Africa), Dave (U.K.), Stormzy (U.K.), Ninho (France) and S.Pri Noir (France).
The 2020 BET Awards were held Sunday night (June 28th).
