Ace broadcaster and actor, Mikki Osei Berko, has thrown his support behind television stations in Ghana that show pornographic content.
Mikki Osei Berko, also called Dada Boat, believes the television networks are justified to show x-rated adult contents because of the lax regulations on showing foreign contents in the country.
It could be recalled that GHOne TV on Thursday, April 9, 2020, broadcast a pornographic material on its late night show, Duvet, which also coincided with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's nation address on COVID-19 pandemic.
Although the General Manager of GHOne TV, Nana Aba Anamoah issued an offical statement apologizing on behalf of the station, many Ghanaians slammed the management for permitting an x-rated content on their TV network.
But, according to Mikki Osei Berko, he does not fault GHOne TV or any television network that decides to imitate what GHOne TV did because the State authorities have allowed foreign culture to override the culture of the nation.
''The national problem is that we don't understand our culture. We don't even know we have a culture for us to even teach our generations or ourselves. We don't even know our heritage and that is one of the major problems we have as a country. So, we don't know the direction we're taking. We don't even have a direction because if we have a direction, we would know our culture'', he exclaimed.
To him, there should be an overhauling in the media landscape for media organizations to project Ghana's culture by showing 100 percent local content but until that is done, he sarcastically gave GHOne TV thumbs-up for showing pornographic content.
''I support the TV station. Yes! Because everybody is doing what he or she likes. If everybody is doing what he or she wants and you too you know what to do to attract people, why don't you do it? Because there's no regulation. I know there is a regulation that shows the appropriate content to show but in this country, to a large extent, the laws are not applied'', he stressed.
''Where does pornography culture come from? It's a foreign culture. If we are to direct TV stations to show contents that are Ghanaian, they won't show pornography. Then again, it will offer employment'', Dada Boat added.

Until the authorities are able to the system so that we watch over 70% of our own contents, Mikky, you're 100% on point
This is just ***barred word***. Plain ***barred word***. And this man us supposed to be a role model for our youth? Someone that our youth will look up to? Pleeeeaaaasssse!!!! What a contradiction. We have allowed foreign cultures to overtake our own culture which I have to think he is not happy with. And his solution to getting our culture back is let's do more ***barred word*** stuff. As for Nana Aba Anamoa, the least said about her, the better. This woman has shown that she will do anything for money even if it means selling her soul. If I am not mistaken, they scheduled their dirty deeds to coincide with the President's address and then she comes to apologize to the Ghanaian people as if the scheduling was done by some aliens from outer space. She must take us for dummies. Shame on her and her ilk. May I take this opportunity to urge the government to move immediately to stop this ***barred word*** from happening again. God bless our homeland ghana and make her great and strong.
Sick mind
