The National Communications Authority (NCA) has sanctioned a total of 131 radio stations for violating certain aspects of the Electronics Communications Act (2009), Act 775.
As part of the sanctions, some of them have been fined but others including Kapital Radio of Kumasi which has been in existence for about 20 years have had their license revoked.
Below is the list of 34 stations whose licenses have been revoked.

Peacefm, why did u delete the comment i posted concerning Hello fm being part of those stations. You people want us to criticize other stations but u dont want to be criticized, better grow up in ur way of journalism or u can close ur stations down since u hit to be attacked. Kingsley osei(despites son -general manager) and Father Dickson must give proper reasons why Hello fm was involved, u want to be praised but u dont want to be criticized
Very sorry that some people may lose their jobs because of the closures, but "na who cause am"? Of course, the operators who refused/failed to do as the law stipulates. The workers can take them on for deceiving them to loose their jobs. Our Ghanaian lackadaisical/ineptitude, or disobedience must change. You want to do business SNF make money yet you flaunt the laws with such impunity.
That is the mentality of an average Ghanaian. Who was in competition with Despite over who can organize the the grandest wedding? Who was he seeking to please? Is it the public or who. He should have renewed his license first. See the shame he has brought upon himself.
