Former IBF Welter Champion, Joshua the Hitter Clottey, has lamented over what he termed the sudden exit of former GBA Chairman, Mr Moses Foh Amoani from the GBA giving way to new Chairman, Samir Captain.
In an interview with Ghana Sports, Clottey said Moses was quite instrumental in most of the successes Ghanaian boxers including himself have been chalking as proud ambassadors of Ghana, so he didnt understand why the new political administration showed him off.
You see that man has what we call luck in boxing and when he visits us prior to major fights in the US, he prays like a prophet so I cant understand why they shoved him off just like that.
Asked as to whether he is calling for his reinstatement, the hard hitter said, Even if they dont reinstate him, they have to make him an integral part of the new administration, you know, because that man knows how to talk and he knows a lot of the big men in boxing.
You know boxing is full of politics so we need somebody like Mosesďż˝, he added. On whom he fights as next opponent, Joshua says he hopes to fight the big shots in the middle weight like Shane Mosley and possibly a re-match with Magrito who would finish serving his ban next year.
