The Ghana United Supporters Union (GUSU) has sent congratulatory message to the Ghana�s Cricket team, after qualifying for the finals of the up-coming Pepsi ICC World Cricket League (WCL) Division in Botswana.
In a statement signed by the Acting President Beverly Addo, she commended the technical team, the Ghana Cricket Association and the Sports Ministry for their unflinching support for the team.
Addo stated that, Ghana's team which had quantity of debutants demonstrated how talented they were and exhibited excellent composure on the field.
�With this, the GUSU believes that the team can move to achieve the ultimate by winning the Division 6 tournament and ultimately proceed to Pepsi ICC WCL Division 5, which will be played later this year�. It stated.
GUSU however cautioned against complacency and called for the team to be focused, tactically disciplined and mentally tough on the field.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) last week announced that Botswana will host the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League (WCL) Division 7 tournament in 2013 from 6 to 13 April, which will be contested by Botswana, Fiji, Germany, Ghana, Nigeria and Vanuatu.
