Ghanaian defender Kojo Baah survived what could have been a deadly attack after he and his Ifeanyi Ubah teammates were attacked by irate fans of Heartland FC after a Nigerian Premier League match.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah players and fans who were navigating their way out of the Dan Anyiam stadium were met with violence by the enraged Heartland’s fans who hurled stones and bottles at the team’s bus.
The players and fans were then ambushed by the irate fans as they attempted to flee for safety on foot.
Baah run into a salon and the proprietress gave him a lady's straight to disguise him.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah team’s buses were destroyed as the windows were smashed and the tyres punctured to restrain movement of the vehicles.
Baah is on loan at the newly promoted Nigerian Premier League side from Ebusua Dwarfs.
