Chief Executive Officer of the State Transport Corporation, Nana Akomea, like many Ghanaians, is unhappy with the performance of the Black Stars in the ongoing AFCON tournament.
The Black Stars have, since the tournament begun, not secured a victory in their group.
Teams like Gabon and Morocco have shown their competitiveness over Ghana's national team, with the former drawing with the Black Stars in a 1-1 scoreline to share points while the Moroccans made Ghanaians dance to a 1-0 humiliating defeat.
Commenting on the perfomance of the national team, Nana Akomea, who is also a former National Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party and an experienced former Member of Parliament, called on the country's football management to stop appointing foreigners to coach the team.
Currently, the national team is being coached by Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac but the team is not doing any better after he took over from Ghanaian coach C.K Akonnor.
To Nana Akomea, appointing a foreigner as head coach of the Black Stars erodes the nation of her dignity.
He suggested that the football administration should rather invest in local legendary players to coach the team, believing they will excel in their coaching skills to get Ghana the desired good news in international tournaments as the AFCON and World Cup.
He noted that the team is degrading and it's about time the football authorities paid heed to his call to rescue the nation from its shame in the area of soccer.
''The coach should never be a foreigner. Never! No matter how intelligent the foreigner is in coaching, because of national dignity...we have to make it a national policy that we won't appoint foreign coach because the person who coaches Black Stars goes to the dignity of the country. Therefore, as a policy, we must look for our good players and sponsor them into the best coaching schools in the world and come to take charge of our national teams, whether the Black Satelites, whether the women's, whether the Black Stars...'', he said on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo''.

Oh no, just get the best coach/manager your money can buy, period! Quit your pigmentation -phobia. And yes, not all Caucasian coaches appear as clueless as Milosavic this time around. His 1-goal project is passe' and he has been out for so long....it beats the imagination why he was brought back.
I agree with you 100%.. What has these soo called white coaches have achieved (in their football career than our legendary local players). Mental slavery: that the white man is better than the black man. Invest in our legendary local players and let them handle our nation teams.
