The disciplinary committee of the Local Organizing Committee for the Fifa Under-20 World Cup has reduced the two-match ban imposed on Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed to one match.
The Ghanaian officials appealed Rabiu's sending off on Saturday after a video clearly showed he never touched the player.
The Italy-based enforcer was wrongly sent off by Croatian referee Ivan Bebek during Friday's last Group D clash with Uruguay in Egypt.
The latest development means Rabiu Mohammed will be available for selection if Ghana progresses to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
By this ruling, Ghana will not pay the US$ 3,500 fine meant for a red-card offence.
