Ghana's defeat to Benin in Sunday's joint 2010 Nations/World qualifiers saddened the Black Satellites in Egypt for the Fifa World Youth Championship.
The Black Stars cracked late in the game and Mohammed Aoudou arrived unchallenged to volley home the match winner. News of the team's loss changed the mood of the Under-20 players who had finished their training session at the Petrosport Stadium in Cairo.
"We were expecting a win for them and we were confident of that they will do it but this is football anything can happen," Inkoom told Ghanasoccernet.com Ghana captain Dede Ayew needed a double confirmation to believe the scoreline but draws some positives from the match.
"We are sad they didn't win but this should guide us in our match against Hungary on Tuesday and we must win to make Ghanaians happy again," Ayew added.
"Our seniors wish us well when we are playing and we also wish them well too and we want to reach the finals like we have promised them and Insha Allah we will get there."
