Manchester City are the latest club to be showing an interest in acquiring the services of Everton's highly-rated England Under-21 international Jack Rodwell.
The Daily Mail reports that the Citizens have joined a clutch of clubs who are keeping tabs on the player, who is nominally a centre-back but has played most of his first team football for the Toffees in midfield.
City boss Mark Hughes apparently continues to have the player watched by scouts on a regular basis, though a January offer is believed to be unlikely.
A summer bid is a strong possibility though, as Hughes looks to reinforce his defensive options at Eastlands.
