Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs fought from a goal down at halftime to beat their local rivals, Venomous Vipers 2-1 in their Division One League match played at the Robert Mensah stadium at Cape Coast on Sunday.
After Aflao based referee Kelvin Agbeko signalled the two sides into action it was Vipers who broke the deadlock with a 38th minute goal scored by Emmanuel Ackon.
Back from recess, Dwarfs made three changes while Vipers made two but it was Dwarfs who gained the upper hand as they dictated affairs from then on but had to wait until the 65th minute before Bismark Asiedu levelled up the scores with a header.
Dwarfs continued to dictate affairs and scored the match winner in the 85th minute through a spot kick taken by midfielder, Mustapha Douglas.
Results of other League matches were Feyenoored beat Tarkwa Real United 1-0, Windy Professionals drew 0-0 with Medeama while Gamba All Blacks lost 0-1 to Sekondi Metro Stars.
