Berekum Chelsea assistant coach Yusif Abubakar says the club’s major task is to make a mark in next year’s Caf Champions League.
Chelsea nicked a 1-0 succes over relegation threatened Real Tamale United to win the Premier League for the first time since they made their landmark in the country’s top flight league three years ago.
The astonishing feat means the highly unpretentious side will rub shoulders with the continent’s elite and the ex-Heart of Oak boss is relishing that prospect.
He told the club’s website: ”We are going to prepare seriously to play in the champions league because that has been the country’s bane for some time now. Management has penned down names of certain players capable of playing top level football and we want to make a mark in Africa.”
