Ghana will wrap up their 2012 Africa Cup of Nations preparations with a friendly against Platinum Stars at Royal Bafokeng Stadium tomorrow.
The match comes after the west Africans played to a 1-all draw with a third-string Bafana Bafana at the same venue on Sunday. As was the case in the game against Bafana, Ghana are unlikely to field their key striker Asamoah Gyan, who has been suffering from a hamstring injury.
The injury did not stop coach Goran Stevanovic from including the United Arab Emirates-based striker in the squad for the continental soccer showpiece, starting in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon on Saturday.
The Ghanaians are without their ace midfielder Michael Essien due to injury, but Stevanovic is confident they will do well in the tournament.
Ghana and Ivory Coast are two teams tipped to do well in this tournament where champions Egypt will not be present to defend their title. Andre Ayew is one of the youngsters who are expected to help Ghana do well in the tournament.
