Goran Stevanovic has confirmed it will be impossible for him to continue as coach of the Ghana national team.
The Serb and his legal representative met official of the Ghana Football Association on Monday to negotiate his severance package and entitlement.
His future has been hanging by a thread following his inability to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
Although the Football Association is yet to officially announce the divorce, the former Partizan Belgrade boss claims he is on his way out.
I asked them if it is possible to stay and they said it is very difficult. Now we have started to negotiate, Stevanovic said.
I am satisfied here and I want to stay but obviously it is very impossible.
The 45-year-olds current with Ghana will end in February 2013 after agreeing a two-year deal last year.
Stevanovic led Ghana to finish fourth at the just ended Cup of Nations finals.
He played 17 matches; won nine, four draws and four defeats.
