The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has fined Premier League champions Asante Kotoko a total of GH11,000 for three cases of misconduct.
SuperSport.com can confirm that Kotoko was fined GH5000 after the DC found some basis in the accusation that Berekum Chelsea official Oduro Safo was physically assaulted at half time when both teams met in a Premier League match on December 14 2011 in Kumasi.
A copy of the judgment seen by SuperSport fines the reds 3000 cedis ($15000). This was for referee Joseph Lampteys alleged manhandling by Kotoko fans at half time during the same game.
There is also a 3000 Ghana cedi ($15000) fine after Kotoko fans damaged equipment that was being used by OMP, the leagues rights holders, after the match. Kotoko insiders have told SuperSport.com that an appeal is forthcoming.
