Asamoah Gyan visited the graveside of his departed mother; Cecelia Love Gyan Baffour Mensah in Mamponteng on Tuesday.
The Ghana captain traveled alongside his father and his two brothers; Baffour and Opoku to lay wreaths on the grave of the departed Madam Baffour Mensah.
The Al Ain striker lost his mother late last in year in a car crash in Accra and was buried in April.
Gyan has been in Ghana on holidays after an impressive season in the UAE Pro-League.
He again shone for the Black Stars in wins against Sudan and Lesotho in crucial 2014 World Cup qualifiers in June.
The 27-year-old and his brothers alongside his father decided to make the trip to Mamponteng to visit their departed mother before returning to his club to begin pre-season training.
Dressed in all-black, the four-member nuclear family in solemn mood prayed for their departed loved one before laying wreaths.
Asamoah Gyan is expected in his club soon to begin pre-season training.
