The Ghanaian defender is likely to move to the Serie A side, despite huge interest from Udinese.
Italian Serie A side Atalanta have made enquiries about Ghanaian left-back Masahudu Alhassan from Genoa.
Atalanta would have to battle Udinese for the 21-year-olds signature.
Alhassan, who is on loan at Novara, has been very impressive for the side which has caught the attention of several Serie A sides.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the deal could go through for Atalanta to sign the Ghanaian considering the excellent relations between Marino and Pozzo, the two main men in both clubs.
Alhassan is also likely to get more playing time at Atalanta than Udinese, according to Gazzetta and he is likely to sign for them.
He has previously played for Ghana Division Three side Prampram Mighty Royals and Italian Serie Cs Rimini.
