The 2010 FIFA World Cup money received by the Black Stars has been deposited in a consolidated fund, a former Minister for Youth and Sports has disclosed.
Akua Sena Dansua, who was minister during that period, added that monies deposited in the consolidated fund are used for the development of Ghana.
This comes after allegations that she deposited the $11 million into her personal account instead of investing it in sports in general but colts football in particular.
Once such money goes into the consolidated fund, it benefits everybody in the country. That money is history now so let us look forward to Brazil 2014 and I am sure Brazil money will be used properly, she said.
The country has raised GH1 million towards the 2014 World Cup through sponsorship, according to Elvis Afriyie Ankrah.
