The Ex-National Star has been tipped to take up the top job at the Black Stars ahead of the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
It was reported weeks ago that the Ghana Football Association was planning to replace current goalkeepers trainer Nassam Yakubu whose position at the Black Stars has been under scrutiny since the teams elimination from the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The legendry goalkeeper Damba, is therefore relishing an opportunity to take up the job at the Black Stars.
When the opportunity avail itself, we will do our best. Football has always been my passion, Damba told Starr Fm.
I know the intricacies of that position because I have played as a goalkeeper before. I moved from being a goalkeeper to become a coach, especially goalkeeping specifics.
So we have prepared ourselves for a period of time and we are just waiting for the opportunity to come then we can also give back the knowledge and experience that we have acquired.
The former Hearts of Oak goalkeepers trainer who mounted the post for the Black Stars in the late 80s and early 90s is famed for his excellent reflexes in the goal post.
