Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has arrived in China to seal a new contract with Chinese side, Shangai SIPG.
The former Sunderland striker attracted interest from several clubs, with the Chinese Super League side believed to be frontrunners.
Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who handles Shangai SIPG played key role in bringing the 29-year-old striker on board to challenge the recent capture of Senegalese striker Demba Ba by their archrivals Shanghai Shenhua.
Gyan also known as ‘Baby Jet’ scored over 100 goals in 85 games for the Dubai-based club, Al Ain.
Asamoah Gyan’s is expected to earn 227, 000 Pounds a week in wages.
