Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari marked his Saudi Premier League debut with a win as Al Ittihad beat Najran 2-1 away on Thursday night.
The former AC Milan player lasted the entire game for his side as they secured an important win away from home in the opening day of the Saudi Pro League.
Muntari made his experience count by putting up a dazzling performance in midfield to contribute to the vital away win, sealed with goals from Lucian Sanmartean and Gelvis Rivas from the penalty spot Last Sunday, he played full throttle as Al Ittihad beat lower division side Ohod 5-0 to advance in the Crown Prince Cup.
Muntari and his team-mates will now have to prepare for next Thursday’s away game at Al Raed.
