Ahmed Toure's dream of donning the Rainbow jersey in the second round of the Ghana Premier League has hit a snag as the league leaders have rejected the player's attempts.
Reports emerged earlier in the week that the former Asante Kotoko goal machine is attempting to open a new account with the Phobians after swerving them last season for sworn – rivals Asante Kotoko.
But board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Braimah Akambi has disclosed to Ghanasoccernet.com that the player's dream of playing for the club can't be realised as the entire management of the club do not accept his return.
"Toure and his manager had called me severally that he wanted to return to the club for the second round. But the management met and have agreed that there is no possibility of his return," Alhaji Akambi said.
"Toure is a fine striker but the club does not need him now.
“Upon some consultations with some players, the technical team and more importantly the fans, none of these bodies want his comeback," he added.
Toure swerved the capital club for their arch rivals Asante Kotoko at the beginning of last season after training and playing some preseason matches for the Phobians.
