The Chairman of Media Publicity and Branding of Ghana’s 60th anniversary Jefferson Sackey, has hinted that, the two most glamorous clubs in the country, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, will clash on March 12, as part of activities earmarked to celebrate Ghana’s Independence Anniversary Celebration.
Sackey, told the media that the decision to select the two clubs was based on their support base in the country and was optimistic, they will draw supporters to the stadium.He said, the National Planning Committee is deliberating on the appropriate venue for the match.
According to the Chairman, the 60th anniversary will be a year-long event and the government is ready to render massive support for all activities and called on corporate bodies to come on board to make the match a success.
‘‘The government is ready to support corporate entities. This match is to commemorate Ghana’s Independence Anniversary. To have a successful event, we need oneness and I’m confident this will be a success.
Hearts/ Kotoko will battle for the bragging rights when they meet.
