Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has revealed his desire to see the return of Kwesi Appiah Ghana’s head Coach.
Kwesi Appiah has been tipped favorite for the Black Stars job, two years after he was sacked by the Ghana Football Association.
The Al Khatoum Coach applied for the job after the Ghana Football Association opened applications for the position.
Gyan who was once coached by the former National star believes Appiah is competent enough to secure the post.
"He (Kwesi Appiah) is a good man, he has developed himself in Sudan and I think he is capable of handling the team (Black Stars) again." Gyan told Hot FM.
The Nation’s Football governing body are expected to announce a new Coach for the senior National team in the next few weeks.

They're playing our intelligent if gfa are serious institutions they should have invested in local coaches by sponsored as attache to big teams in eroupe and then assigned them first to local teams for experiment then later they can be evaluated if capable then to Junior national team before considered them to senior national team base upon many lessons learned from foreign coach, but it seems we more ***barred word*** heads running the affairs than goods heads.
kwesi Appiah wont last, what did he do in his time, what is he doing with sudan, we r just jokers thinking he is our solution.
If Akwasi Appiah was good anough why then was he sacked? The 2014 world cup disgrace is still fresh in the minds of some of us. Please let us get serious and look for a technically good and firm coach who can handle the team. If a coach can succumb to the pressure of players to change a goalkeeper he has selected for a match, as was alleged to have happened in the 2014 world cup tournament, then I wonder why people are calling for his return. We need a coach who will be strong enough to discipline players when necessary. Kwasi is not the type.
Can someone tell me what the recommendation is in this post. He is simply saying that Kwasi Appiah was not fit to coach the team when he first got the job, but now he has improved himself in Sudan, so he can handle the team. Is that a recommendation? Some people have been endorsing Kawsi Appiah since Avram Grant's days and continue to do same. h arrived at Al Khartoum, the team placed fourth. Their position has not improved since. I think the only thing that has improved about Kwasi Appiah is his financial position.
