Newcastle United are set to sign Ghana winger Christian Atsu on a permanent deal.
According to reports in the UK, the Megpies are planning to meet up the £6.5m tag on the player.
Further reports indicate Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has requested to have the Ghanaian international on permanent basis hence pushing the Club to meet up his asking price by his parent Club Chelsea.
It is however unlikely the 25-year-old will be returning to Chelsea having been regarded surplus by the English giants.
Atsu scored five goals for Newcastle United to confirm a place in next season’s English Premier League.
The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations most Valuable player was loaned out to the Championship side after failing to break into the Chelsea team.
He had previously been loaned out to Vitessi, Everton and Bournemouth before joining Newcastle United.
