Black Starlets Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has called on Ghanaians to be patient on young goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim.
The 14-year-old has shot to fame after an incredible performance at the Africa U17 Championship where he helped the Black Starlets to the finals.
Danlad was able to keep four clean sheets out of Ghana’s five matches at the competition.
Calls have been rampant for him to be handed a surprised call-up to the senior National team.
However Paa Kwesi Fabin says the young goalkeeper is not yet ripe for the Black Stars.
“I will plead with you, he is still young, I think it is too early,” he said to the press.
“It is early for him, he still has a lot to offer the various National team, we will try and make him go through the necessary channels.
“If you say the Black Satellites (Ghana U20) that will be ok but jumping to the Black Stars I don’t think will be advisable. At the right time he will get there.”
The Kotoko goalkeeper has been touted as the next big thing for the senior National team.
