Reports emerging from Egypt are that the Emergency Committee of CAF has altered the dates for the kickoff of the 2019 AFCON to be staged in Egypt.
The Confederation of African Football, CAF, is, however, tight-lipped on the development despite the report gaining prominence in the media.
The competition will be held from Friday, June 21st to Friday, July 19th, 2019.
The date of the official draw for the competition is set for 12th April 2019 in Cairo.
Originally, the 2019 AFCON was expected to start from the 14th of June to the 15th of July but insiders say CAF have altered the date.
FootballMadeInGhana, however, understands that the change of date was upon a request by the Egyptian FA.
