Nigeria legend Austin Jay-Jay Okocha believes Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah could be fired if they lose to Guinea-Bissau and are eliminated.
The Bolton Wanderers star expressed his disappointment in coach Appiah after playing two draws in their opening Group F games.
The West Africa giants played out a 2-2 stalemate with the Squirrels of Benin in the opening fixture of the group before engaging holders Cameroon to a scoreless draw.
The four-time Africa champions needs to beat Guinea Bissau to ensure of qualification to the next round of the competition.
“Kwesi has to win against Guinea-Bissau to keep his job,” said Okocha, who was part of the 1994 Nigeria Cup of Nations-winning team.
Guinea-Bissau are among four teams who failed to score in their first two group matches with former Liverpool youth team forward Toni Silva among those misfiring.

Yes, Jay Jay Okocha, one of Africa's greatest, even at his current age i believe can still perform better than most of the current players in Ghana and Nigeria. Currently i don't see a single player in the Ghanaian team who is outstanding, not one. May be after afcon 2019, Ghana need to build a national team starting from the basic school level, even if it means opting out of Afcon for sometime and coming back after we are sure of ourselves, the current buga buga performance makes one to recall the good old days of Mohammed Polo,Ofei Ansah, Peter Lamptey, Hesse Odamtten, Ben Kayode, Kofi Badu, John Bannerman, Albert Asaasi, George Alhassan, Haruna Yussif, Papa Arko, Joseph Carr,Mohammed Odoom, Adolf Armah,Addai Kyenkyenhene, Seth Ampadu, Opoku Nti, Francis Kumi, Yaya Kassim, Oppoku Afriyie, Mohammed Chooo, 'conner kick contractor' Kofi Abbrey, etc etc, these were the boys who one could trust under all odds, yet none got 1/100 of what these buga buga black stars players are getting today with no results to show, thus you don't see Ghanians in their national colours even though we are in Egypt,in the days of these boys mentioned above, the whole of Ghana would have been in the national colours up to the level of the presidency, today Ghana is a pale shadow of itself when it comes to the black stars.
Why don't you focus on your kidnapping-infested country and leave the ***barred word*** coach to worry about his job.
