Kotoko could replace under-fire Coach Kjetil Zacharissen in the coming days.
The Finnish could lose his job after failing to guide the team to the Group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Zacharissen had a target to help the team reach the Group stage of the CAF Champions League after his appointment.
Having failed to reach the last 16 in the Champions League, the former Ashanti Gold trainer was pardoned after the team dropped to the Confederation Cup competition where he was expected to qualify the Reds to the Money zone.
He however failed to accomplish that feat as the team crashed out following a 2-0 defeat to Ivorian side San Pedro over the weekend.
Ghanasportsonline.com close sources at Kotoko indicate Black Stars B Coach Maxwell Konadu has already been contacted to fill in the shoes of Zacharissen with the Club’s CEO Kwame Kyei leading the crusade to have the former Black Stars assistant Coach return to the Club.
Konadu could be making a comeback to the Porcupine Warriors after leading them to win the League title five years ago.
Kotoko are also expected to issue a statement about the future of Zachariassen who is likely to be sacked.

Maxwell is not good at the moment. we don't need him!
but why did maxwell konadu leave kotoko in the first place? during his time as the coach of kotoko was one of the strongest periods for the team. we need him back, and indeed ASAP.
I take this opportunity to make it emphatically clear to the Management Team of Asante Kotoko to sit up about the fortunes of our great Club. To be very candid, certain irrational decisions are rather affection the Club. Others have sacrificed money, time and efforts to make us happy so posterity will NOT forgive them. I am almost seventy years old and what won me to the Fabulous Club were the days when its left with just three minutes KotoKo will equalize and beat any club. Some of us can't sleep of late so they better wake up else I'll personally come to Ghana and petition Our Lord Otumfour to replace the Management Team immediately. How can we sit on tentacles during our matches of late only to loose misrably and go to bed unable to eat. What's happening of late is heart-breaking; if they can't perform they should humbly resign, I rest my case for now.
